Elen Gwenllïan

Director

Elen graduated from Aberystwyth University with a BA degree in Welsh and Drama. She has always been interested in translation and completed a specific translation module at the University; this is when she decided she would like to pursue a career as a translator. She began her career as a professional translator working as an Assistant Translator at WJEC in Cardiff, working under the wing of highly experienced translators and editors in the Education sector.

She started working as a part-time Freelance Translator in 2015, before deciding to move back home to Caernarfon and work as a full-time Freelance Translator. Elen is a member of the Welsh Translators' Association.

In her spare time, Elen loves anything football related! She is a loyal member of the Red Wall, attending home games and following Wales all over the world – a perfect way to combine travel and football. She also enjoys reading, caravanning and is a keen member of Côr Glanaethwy.

Freelance Translators

Cyfieithu Acen has a pool of freelance translators who work for us regularly. These are all members of the Welsh Translators' Association or are starting their journey as translators and are working towards taking the exam very soon.

We are always keen to hear from any freelance translators who would like to be included in our pool of trusted translators.
